Parents can sign up by texting BABY (or BEBE for Spanish) to 511411. A free text-to-parents program to deliver tips, parenting videos and other resources every other week on the importance of talking, reading and singing to young children. From meal time to bath time to bed time, text messages and videos will span a wide range of topics aimed at helping parents find fun and meaningful ways to incorporate language-rich moments into everyday activities and routines.

Upstart
Prepare your child for kindergarten with UPSTART, a computer-based program sponsored by the state of Utah. Using Waterford Institute's award-winning software, this unique program provides children with an individualized reading, math, and science curriculum with a focus on reading instruction. Your family may qualify for the use of a free computer and Internet.
